1. Provider and scope

Riglayer is operated by:

The provider details will be added.

These terms apply to the use of Riglayer. By signing in you agree to them.

2. What Riglayer is

Riglayer is an overlay editor for OBS with Twitch tools (for example alerts, chat commands, quizzes, tournaments, control via Stream Deck). The service is free and non-commercial. There are no payments, no subscriptions and no advertising; a refund or withdrawal of payments therefore does not apply.

Riglayer is run in our free time. There is no entitlement to particular features, to constant availability or to features remaining unchanged. We may change features or discontinue the service. We will announce this as early as possible so you can download your data beforehand (Settings, “Download my data”).

3. Access and approval

You sign in with your Twitch account. You can use the channel area only after an admin has approved your channel. There is no entitlement to approval. If a request is rejected, you can request again after 14 days. We may block a channel if these terms are violated or the security of the service requires it. On request we inform you by email about rejection, blocking and approval.

You must be allowed to hold a Twitch account under Twitch's terms. If you are a minor, you need the consent of your legal guardians for this.

4. What is not allowed

You are responsible for your content and for what runs through your channel. You indemnify us against claims by third parties raised against us because of your content, insofar as you are responsible for the infringement.

5. Your content

Your content remains yours. You allow us to store, process and display it as far as necessary for operation, including in backup copies and on the pages you embed yourself (for example your OBS overlay). Only upload what you may use. We may remove content if it violates these terms or we receive a justified notice.

Send notices about infringements to the address given in the legal notice.

6. Data protection and data processing

How we handle your data is described in the privacy policy.

Through Riglayer you also process data of your viewers (for example names and messages from chat, quiz leaderboards). You are the controller for this within the meaning of the GDPR. We process this data exclusively on your behalf and according to your instructions, that is, the way you use the features of Riglayer. The following applies:

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the Product Liability Act. In cases of slight negligence we are only liable for the breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise liability is excluded. Because Riglayer is free, there is no assurance that the service runs without errors and without interruption. To back up your content we recommend regularly using the “Download my data” feature and exporting overlays.

8. Termination

You can end your use of Riglayer at any time by deleting your account in the settings. We may end your account or Riglayer as a whole with a reasonable notice period. In case of violations of these terms this is also possible immediately.

9. Changes

We may change these terms when Riglayer changes or the law requires it. For significant changes we ask for your agreement again at your next sign-in. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

10. Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you live remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the others remain valid.

Riglayer is an independent project. It has no connection to Twitch Interactive, Inc., Amazon, the OBS Project, YouTube or Discord. Twitch is a trademark of Twitch Interactive, Inc.
